Farhang

Hi all, so my name is Farhang. I am 28 years old, born in Afghanistan and raised in the Netherlands since my fifth. I just finished my masters which has the world’s longest title: Management, Policy-analysis and Entrepreneurship in Health and Life Sciences. Which basically means I am a boss in everything about business and health. My true interests lie in the field of technology and society. I see a big future in changing health as the way we perceive it, by integrating technology in our daily environment. I am not going to bother you further with this futuristic-high-science–philosophical thing.

So what kind of person am I in daily life? Basically you can portray me as the guy who is always on the run. And that is not metaphorical said, I am really on the run everyday. You see me running everyday from trains, to busses, to work, to study, even in the weekends you see me jogging along the way. I live by the second, millisecond, life is not endless so I want to live every moment of it. I have an unstoppable hunger for new experiences, I have to try to do something new every day. Every time when you see me I have come up with something new and completely convinced that this is the next best thing. And I like to do stuff my way. Sometime it might look geeky, foolish, strange, but it doesn’t bother me, because I hate people who are normal.

This trip is a next phase in experiencing something new; new worlds, new people. I want to get inspired on many fields, gain experiences, motivation and lots of wisdom. And I want to change. I stress too much, time is killing me. This is why I have stopped wearing watches, while having a quite large collection of it. I want to live in the moment, and not try to capture moments to look back upon in the future. I have stopped tracking my life with Fitbit, sleep cycle etc. I want to de-technologize myself as much as possible, to eventually understand the core meaning of technology in life. I want to change my life from ticking to-do boxes into doing something that is on my mind at that moment and feels good. Furthermore I want to end with the following wise words:

Flexibility is the next big thing. Being flexibel in life opens up new opportunities and makes you enjoy, experience and live your life to the fullest.
